In addition, the sectarian system has caused many divisions over the years, which has led to a decline in citizens' confidence in their democratic rights, and a decline in the participation of youth and women in political life in Lebanon.

About the project

The first phase (2019-2020)
  • Create an "advisory committee" that meets quarterly
  • Conducting exploratory research on the national territory for about 1800 citizens (50% women) between the ages of 18 and 35 years
  • Organizing 30 dialogue gatherings for youth groups, reaching all Lebanese districts (about 900 people participated)
The second phase (2019-2020)
  • Establishing a body of experts and specialists to develop a non-sectarian
  • Capacity building of male and female youth activists (about 200 activists) in the fields of politics, public affairs issues,
  • Launching a media campaign to keep pace with the model elections for young representatives.
The thirdphase (2019-2020)
  • Launching the Youth Parliament and working to develop policies
  • Organizing meetings and dialogues with real candidates for the upcoming
  • Conduct exploratory research after the parliamentary elections to assess progress made in support of non-sectarian politics and youth participation
